About TJC Counseling PLLC
Supporting Your Journey with Compassion, Experience, and Understanding
Hello, I'm Trisha.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me and the heart behind TJC Counseling PLLC.
For more than 20 years, I have worked in social work and healthcare settings, supporting individuals and families through some of life's most difficult and meaningful experiences. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of walking alongside people facing chronic illness, caregiving responsibilities, grief, loss, aging-related concerns, and end-of-life transitions.
These experiences have reinforced something I deeply believe: every person deserves a safe space where they feel heard, understood, and supported.
My passion is helping people navigate life's challenges while reconnecting with the strengths, resilience, and hope that already exist within them.
My Professional Background
My background includes extensive experience in medical social work, palliative care, end-of-life support, grief counseling, and family-centered care.
I am certified in Palliative and End-of-Life Social Work and have also completed training as a Death Doula. These experiences have given me a unique understanding of the emotional, physical, and relational challenges individuals and families often face during periods of illness, loss, and transition.
In addition to my work with individuals and families, I have completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and incorporate evidence-based relationship tools into my work with couples seeking greater connection, communication, and understanding.

My Approach to Counseling
Creating a Safe Space for Healing, Growth & Hope
I believe counseling is most effective when it is built on trust, compassion, and genuine connection.
My goal is not to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you as you explore your experiences, identify your strengths, and discover new ways to move forward.
Whether you are navigating grief, caring for a loved one, experiencing anxiety or depression, facing relationship challenges, or adjusting to a major life transition, I strive to create a supportive environment where healing can happen at your own pace.
I understand that reaching out for support can feel difficult, and I consider it a privilege to be invited into your journey.
